Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in Alliston

What is physiotherapy & orthopaedic physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a regulated health care profession that helps individuals restore, maintain, and maximize their strength, function, movement, and overall well-being. Physiotherapists have in-depth knowledge of how the body works and specialized hands-on clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and treat your symptoms and ultimately to optimize your quality of life. Physiotherapists can help people at ANY age & stage of life!

Physiotherapy is a form of healing that can be performed in isolation, or in combination with other specialties (such as massage therapy, osteopathy, chiropractic care, naturopathy, etc). Physiotherapists support their patient’s bodies in their own individual healing journey.

Orthopaedic (also known as neuro-musculo-skeletal) physiotherapists are experts in the assessment and treatment of neuro (nerve tissue) and musculoskeletal (muscle tissue, bone tissue and joint) conditions. These linicians utilize advanced clinical assessment and diagnosis techniques to prevent and restore injuries/dysfunctions in these body systems, ensuring to always address the nervous, muscular and boney structures that underlie a patient’s problem area.
